Shayr uses Plaid for bank connections — the same technology used by Chase, Venmo, and thousands of other apps. Your bank login credentials are never stored by Shayr. All data is encrypted with AES-256. Shayr reads your transaction history — it cannot move money or make changes to your accounts.
Absolutely. You don't need a partner or family to use Shayr. Most features work perfectly for a single user — spending tracking, budgets, investment monitoring, and AI insights are all just as useful solo. Sharing is optional.
Download the app and you get full access to all features for 14 days — no credit card required, no hidden charges. After 14 days, you can choose to subscribe (Bussin or GOAT) or the app reverts to a limited free mode. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be charged a thing.
BYOK means "Bring Your Own Key." If you already have an OpenAI, Anthropic, or Ollama API key, you can plug it directly into Shayr and use it for AI chat. This means unlimited AI at the cost you already pay your AI provider — no Shayr AI markup. It's a GOAT only feature.
