What Shayr AI can answer
Shayr AI answers questions about your own household money in plain language, such as How much did we spend on dining this month?. It reads your data and writes an answer. It cannot change anything.
Steps
Tap the menu icon, then Shayr AI. You can also tap the Ask Shayr anything about your finances bar at the top of Insights.

The first time, Shayr asks you to accept a consent screen. See AI consent and privacy.
Tap one of the Try asking suggestions or type under Ask about your finances. Questions can be up to 4,000 characters.
Read the reply. Answers can include a small chart and colored numbers. Follow up in the same chat.
What it can see
For each question Shayr sends the AI a summary of your whole household: net worth, income and spending for the last 30 days and the months before, your top categories and trends, your last 30 expense transactions (merchant, amount and category), recurring bills, budgets, goals, your latest Money Date notes, a short spending behavior summary (city names only), investments, family member names and the income range and goal you gave Shayr.
What it cannot do
- It cannot change data, move money or take actions. It only answers.
- It sticks to finance and says so when data is missing instead of guessing.
- It is not a financial, tax or legal advisor, and it can be wrong. Check important numbers in the app.
- The chat is not saved. Leaving the screen clears it.
How many questions you get
| Plan | Shayr AI messages each month |
|---|---|
| Free trial | 10 |
| Bussin | 10 |
| GOAT | 20 |
| Your own key (GOAT or trial) | No Shayr limit |
| After a trial ends with no plan | 0 on Shayr's AI |
The count resets on the 1st of each month, is kept per person, and only counts messages that got an answer. If your household has a higher plan, you get that plan's allowance. A trial ranks below Bussin, so a household with a Bussin member gets 10.
The consent screen says Free accounts get 2 messages/day and the limit sheet says Daily Limit Reached. Those are old words and a fix is planned. The real limit is monthly, as in the table above.
