The 14 day free trial
The trial starts when you create your account, lasts 14 days, needs no card and gives you the whole app. Open Settings to see how many days are left.
How it starts
Creating an account starts the trial at once. You do not enter a card. See Create a Shayr account.
Where to see the days left
- The menu shows Your free trial ends in [N] days. It turns amber under 7 days.
- Settings shows Free Trial with every feature available and the days left.
When it ends
There is no grace period. The trial ends at the moment shown, and the app asks you to pick Bussin or GOAT. Your bank connections stay in place for 5 days after the trial ends. If you have not chosen a plan by then, Shayr disconnects them on the date the app shows, and keeps your accounts, transactions, budgets, goals and history. You cannot add new connections until you subscribe. See Plans and limits for the details. To keep access, see Upgrade your plan.
Household members
People who join a household use the household's highest plan. A trial ranks below Bussin, so a household with a Bussin member uses Bussin. If someone leaves a Bussin or GOAT household, they get 7 days on that plan, then their own plan or trial.
What the trial includes
Every feature, including the Claude connector and Connected Apps, the live Google Sheets feed, personal access tokens, Investments, Home buying readiness, smart merchant categories and bringing your own AI key. The differences from a paid plan are 3 bank connections for your household and 10 Shayr AI messages a month. See Plans and limits.
