Remove a bank account
On Accounts, swipe the bank card to the left and tap Delete, or tap the three dots and Delete Account. Choose the accounts to remove and confirm. Their transactions and balance history are deleted from Shayr.
Steps
Open Accounts from the menu.
Swipe the bank card left and tap the red Delete, or tap the three dots and choose Delete Account. If you see a lock icon, you did not link it and cannot remove it. See Account ownership.
Tick the accounts to remove, or tap Select All. Tap Delete.
You see Account deleted successfully. Everyone in the household sees their totals update.
What it does
- The chosen accounts, their transactions and their balance history are deleted from Shayr.
- If a bank has several accounts and you remove only some, the connection and the others stay. The connection to Plaid is removed when no accounts remain under it.
- Your real accounts at the bank are not touched.

If something goes wrong
It says Please select an account.
Tick at least one account first.
It says I do not have access to delete this account.
Only the person who linked it can.
